MonkeyBar in action

The MonkeyBar System is designed to be a fast and practical system for a variety of applications suitable in vertical and horizontal elements of concrete construction such as walls, starter bars and columns.
Monkey HookBars
Monkey HookBar is a 180 degree hooked bar with a MonkeyBar head designed for adjacent joins in concrete structures. The 16mm Monkey HookBar (MHB-16) can be made in any length specified. Monkey HookBars for joining walls to new floors can be produced in 16mm, 20mm and 24mm diameters. It only takes a few seconds to couple the development length to the Monkey HookBar already embedded in the concrete wall with sufficient space provided by the void former to make a quality assured connection.
Monkey VoidFormer
Used in a horizontal wall application, the Monkey VoidFormer is a very effective way to create a cavity space around a MonkeyBar, so that after the concrete has cured, a starter bar can be coupled in seconds. Made out of strong and durable plastic, the VoidFormer is simply attached to the formwork shutter prior to pouring concrete, followed by the insertion of the MonkeyBar which is held in position by the steel fixer and attached to the void former and shutter by an insert retainer. VoidFormers will be delivered to site as a set, with the respective number of MonkeyBars or Monkey HookBars ordered to the specifications needed (length, bar diameter, etc).
MonkeyCage - Caged column
Built in the same conventional way, the MonkeyBar system used in column cage forming helps simplify the process for builders. Formed to specifications, the MonkeyBars are attached to the ligatures in the MonkeyCage using a unique clip that allows the bar to move up and down approximately 20mm and to be rotated 360 degrees. This truly speeds the assembly process. The special clip attached to the ligature makes it impossible for the bar to fall through, because the diameter of the MonkeyBar head is bigger than the hole provided by the clip itself.
Walls
Vertical wall reinforcing using Monkey couplers is practical, fast and easy to build, saving both time and many tonnes of steel in your construction project. Because the MonkeyBar system is designed to replace overlapping, the amount of steel within the wall is reduced significantly making the working process much easier for steel fixers and the wall space less congested.
