Monkey Steel is proud to announce its participation in Green Cities 08 at Darling Harbour, Sydney. Monkey Steel will be showcasing its unique range of concrete reinforcement products on Stand 26 at the Expo from Monday11th to Tuesday 12th February 2008.
Winner of the 2007 Engineering Excellence Award from Engineers Australia, MonkeyBar eliminates the need to overlap steel reinforcing bars in major civil or high-rise construction, providing significant benefits to contractors.
When used in vertical applications in high-rise construction, the MonkeyBar system can save up to 24% of the reinforcing steel typically wasted in lap lengths. In a typical high-rise building this equates to 300 tonnes of steel or 255 tonnes of greenhouse gas.
